Hi my name is Benedetta Siviero, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Rome, Italy.
I got my bachelor's degree in Communication Science at University of Roma Tre and did my thesis in journalism on the informetion in Afghanistan and the role of female journalist.
I choose the Master in Book and Digital Media Studies at Leiden University because of its comprehensive curriculum and my passion for books. I believe the digital media component is fundamental in the era we live in.
In 2020 I attended one year of Bioinformatics at Sapienza University and I did some programming in Python, but it was only the basics. I'm excited for this course in Digital Media Technology because its going to refresh my knowledge of programming in Python and implement my understanding of digital technologies.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I have a beloved dog named Nikita who brings joy to my life. I'm an avid reader with a particular passion for fantasy, though I enjoy exploring a variety of genres. This love for reading is a big part of why I'm pursuing this master's program.
My mother tongue is italian and I studied english since a young age in school and then with specific courses. Last year I started stuiding korean and got my first certificate. I want to continue my studies because I find it a really beutiful language, and I hope one day to be able to speek it fluently.
